Traffic accidents and creating long queues are issues that exist on roads in many countries, including Iran. Especially in urban areas, this problem reduces traffic safety, increases travel delays, raises fuel consumption of vehicles, and generates pollutants. Until the 1970s, traffic issues in urban areas were not significant in most countries. However, in recent years, with the increase in traffic volume and the daily influx of numerous new vehicles into the cycle, the problem of multiple traffic congestions in urban streets has emerged, prompting traffic and transportation engineers to consider solutions for traffic flow optimization.
